Alat and Spyro DotD model

again, i DIDN'T created this spyro model, my friend from youtube -->[link] uploaded it to his webpage [link] and told me about it he is really a genius, he can extract the level models, the characters models and import them into blender, a real genius.

about the spyro model itself, damn, it gives me so much envy! it uses just over 1900 vertices, (Alat uses almost 5300 O_o' ) and looks great though.

i have been thinking to change the spyro model and try to make it look like Alat, in an DotD style, but im not very sure about it, cause i think that that would be like stealing or something, and its very probable that Alat would no longer look like Alat anymore if i do so
in any case i think i can try, just for fun ^o^

Alat belongs to me and the copyright is just on him and the art , spyro belongs to... universal is it?
